This concert under the baton of the former Chief Conductor of the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra will present two popular works of late Romanticism. It will be opened by the Slovak soprano Eva Hornyáková singing the Four Last Songs by Richard Strauss that the German author composed at the end of his life after World War II. The evening will culminate with a rendition of Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 5 where the Czech-born composed (from the town of Kaliště) created the famous "Art Nouveau" Adagietto movement.
